10 SHORT FILMS, ONE FILM FESTIVAL.
In partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), CHED-UniFAST held a short film lab and festival for beneficiaries of the programs (Free Higher Education and Tertiary Education Subsidy) under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, or RA 10931. Ten (10) projects were chosen from a pool of applications nationwide and were given a grant worth PHP 125,000 to produce a 5-minute short film. Each project underwent intensive online film labs via Zoom, covering topics such as Production Management, Story Development, Technical aspects, Safe Filming, and Editing, mentored by award-winning filmmakers and producers in the industry.
CineIskool aimed to produce and exhibit films with diverse stories that highlight the significance and benefits of tertiary education and encourage the youth to take advantage of the various education assistance programs offered by the government.
