In partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), an on-the-spot painting competition dubbed “PINTAgumpay: A celebration of the success of Philippine higher education” was held on July 31 to August 1, 2023, as part of the celebration of the 3rd National Higher Education Day (NHED).
The contest was opened to all Filipino students who were enrolled in a Fine Arts program for the academic year 2022-2023 in state universities and colleges (SUCs), CHED-recognized local universities and colleges (LUCs) and partner private higher education institutions (HEIs) to showcase their creativity and originality to a wider audience through oil/acrylic painting.
It also aimed to depict stories of Filipino students achieving success with the assistance of the government by providing equitable access to quality higher education through visual arts.
